Festival Season in Athens

Athens builds its summer programme on venues no other city has - a Roman odeion beneath the Acropolis lit up at night, a 19th-century gasworks that now draws a million visitors a year, and two hillsides north of the city where Iron Maiden, Guns N' Roses, and the first European Big Four thrash convergence have all taken place.
