Ως ο ένας από τους δύο των Gang Starr, έχει διαμορφώσει τον ήχο της Νέας Υόρκης με κλασικά άλμπουμ όπως τα Step In The Arena και Moment of Truth. Ο κατάλογός του περιλαμβάνει θρυλικές παραγωγές για καλλιτέχνες όπως ο Nas, ο The Notorious B.I.G., ο KRS-One και ο Rakim.
